Yep, it is that time of year again… time for the annual Tremont Institute Scavenger Hunt. Holly, Holly’s sister Lora, and I competed again this year and managed to pull off a win yet again; our third consecutive. While we certainly enjoy winning, we thoroughly enjoy the game of it all. As I mentioned last year, the hunt is kind of like a mini-Amazing Race (and you know how much we love that show), plus it is an awesome opportunity to learn about the park and to get out and enjoy the park (although… we’re moving so fast you can’t stop too much to smell the roses).
This week’s picture of the week is a picture we had to take for the Scavenger Hunt. The theme was “fun”, and you had to take a picture of your team having fun and the team name had to be visible in the shot. This picture was taken at the Palmer house in the Cataloochee section of the park early Saturday morning (we left our house a little after 5AM to get there on time).
As a team, we’ve decided to retire… but I’m sure we’ll still be participating in the event on some level in the future. It is just too much fun not to! See you next year!
