Welcome to August everyone!  This year, as always, is zooming by.  It’ll be fall before we know it!

I wanted to wrap up my series on sunrise with… well… an image of sunset! 🙂  I’ve mentioned in previous years about our attempts to grow wildflowers in our back yard.  This year we wanted to see how things had gone and didn’t plant anything new, well, not much came up. Ha!  This is basically the story of my gardening success.  What has come up, however, are the black-eyed susans.  Not a ton of them, but enough to be pretty.  One evening earlier in the summer the sunset was turning amazing, so I grabbed my camera and just wandered around the yard.  This is one of the scenes I found that I really liked.  The flowers being illuminated by the color and light of the late setting sun will forever be a classic scene.

More next week!
