Happy Independence Day weekend! I hope you all had a nice 4th and got to spend some time with friends and family. For this week’s Picture of the Week I’m continuing my series on sunrise in the Smokies, with this view from the Foothills Parkway. I’ve been going to Foothills Parkway for decades, and I suspect I’ll continue to go for as long as I’m physically able. It just never gets old! We’re so blessed to have such beautiful views so close by! This particular sunrise was everything you hope for – fog in the valley and colorful clouds in the sky.
