Well happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a nice start to this new year. After a very windy start here in East Tennessee, we’re all now hoping that some snow will make an appearance tonight and into tomorrow – even if only ever so briefly. Speaking of East Tennessee, how about another fall photo? I spoke to a couple of people this past week who commented that they wished my fall color series would continue on, and well, I like to give the people what they want! I had actually been trying to decide when to fit this scene of downtown Knoxville in, and after some thought, here it is!
If you’ve been following along with Picture of the Week since the beginning of last year, you may recognize this vantage point of downtown Knoxville. I posted an early morning picture from this same spot last January, and even commented then that you should expect to see more images from there. Truth be told, I was hoping for the shot above when I said that! All during the fall color season I had been keeping a close eye on how the colors were developing in the downtown area and I managed to catch at peak. The sky wasn’t as dramatic on this particular evening as it was for my morning shot, but I was happy to get a little alpine glow up there anyway, to support the subject of the downtown area surrounded by such brilliant fall colors. What a gorgeous area we live in!
More next week,
