Though not technically in Philadelphia, you'll likely not notice that you've left Pennsylvania and crossed into New Jersey if you're visiting the area, and if you're looking to ditch the hustle and bustle of Philly, this is a great spot.  The Pour House is likely a place you wouldn't just stumble into unless you knew someone and they told you about it… which is exactly the case we found ourselves in.  After photographing at Eastern State Pen, our friends suggested driving over to South Jersey to meet his sister and her husband, and they hooked us all up with this gem.

The Pour House is without a doubt a bar with a large beer selection, but they also happen to have a bunch of really good food as well.  Any time I see "everyone's favorite" on a menu, I have to give it a try, and in this case, I was not let down.  "The Second Coming" is a really good burger, which I ordered custom with their pretzel bun… just to spice things up a bit.  Though not the best burger I've ever had, it was pretty darn good.  It's big enough to definitely fill you up, but not obnoxiously big to where you're uncomfortable after eating it.

The atmosphere at The Pour House is your typical bar scene, with some nice tables and booths in the back.  It is certainly a popular place, so if you visit be prepared to wait just  a bit (we had about a 20 minute wait, at 7:30PM on a Friday).  It is, however, worth the wait.
