Every year around Christmas, our good friend Shelley comes in for the Holiday's from California and we always try to have at least one get together while she's here. These events are generally attended by our close core group of friends who still live in the area and are a great time of catching up and hanging out. This year was extra special though, as a couple of our other friends were in town as well. Our friends Joel and Matt were here with their wives Tia and Jen, whom we'd never had the pleasure of meeting. Holly and I had gotten to see Matt about a year and a half ago (his wife wasn't able to join us then), but we had not seen Joel in at least 10 years! It's crazy how time flies, and it's also crazy how the bond of friendship holds us all together, even over extended absenses. It was so good to get to spend time with everyone and hear about what is happening in their worlds, as well as share lots of laughs. It definitely made our week a little brighter!
