The great llama race

Yep, that’s my buddy Josh… and Nacho (the one on the left).  Why are they getting all snugglie?  Logical question.

Yesterday was The Great Llama Race here in Knoxville, TN, and I have to say it was quite entertaining.  The Great Llama Race was put on by a local organization to help local schools as well as a very special school in Bolivia (read more about Casa De Sara here).  The llama is the national animal of Bolivia… thus the reason for the llamas.  The idea is that local businesses would sponsor a llama for a local school, who would then help dress the llama up, and then a local celebrity would run with the llama in a race (which if you know anything about llamas… this could get ugly).  The winning schools get money for special programs, and the school in Bolivia benefits from all the fund raising.  Really fun idea.

Back to Josh and Nacho; Nacho was the llama that the company I work for, Claris Networks, sponsored for the Paideia Academy.  Josh, not one to miss out on a perfect photo opportunity, decided to ham it up with our boy.  Seem random?  Yep, it is.

More llamas, check this out:
