Downtown Knoxville in Fall Colors
Downtown Knoxville in Fall Colors

The first time I visited Japan, back in 2018, I didn’t quite appreciate how lucky I had been to see so much of Mount Fuji, and experience such nice conditions.  As it turns out, the mountain is often covered in clouds (you’ll hear it being said that the mountain is being shy), and a high number of visitors miss seeing it each year.  Fortunately, Holly shared a bit of this luck earlier this year on her first trip to the country, and we got to see the mountain on multiple occasions (and we also got to witness the mountain completely covered in clouds!).  As we were there a little earlier than I had been on my first trip, the mountain had a lot more snow on it as well, which was a treat!

Below in the Alternative Perspective section you’ll find a couple different views of the mountain, including a street scene I spotted while wondering around the small town that sits just beside the mountain.  Such an idyllic scene!

More next week!
