Happy belated Valentine’s Day and an early President’s Day to all of you here in the States! I’ve just returned from another trip to the Middle East, and I must say, I’m grateful for the long weekend. I definitely needed a break after all the travel and then trying to get caught up at work.
Last week I mentioned having spent a lot of time on the Foothills Parkway, and no exploration of the Parkway would be complete without visiting the old Look Rock Fire Tower. I’ve always thought the tower had a bit of a StarWars vibe to it, and this view with the winter Milky Way adds to that, I think. Featured in the sky above the tower are the Orion-Eridanus bubble, the California nebula, Pleiades, the Rosette nebula and all their neighbors, all in their setting position.
More next week!
