Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you had an opportunity to kick back some over the break.  Holly and I had a nice Christmas and New Year – and now the long stretch till spring!  🙂

This week and next week I wanted to share some images from our trip to Poland and Denmark, which Holly and I took in the fall.  This was one of those trips that I wish we could get a do-over on!  We started off on the wrong foot with a missed flight in New York (airline’s fault), and continued on the wrong foot when I got sick, and then Holly got sick – and then I got sick again!  Whew.  It was great to see our friends – and I can’t wait to see them again – but man, that was rough! 

This was our first time visiting Denmark, and having friends in Copenhagen meant we got to see the main attractions, but also several places that were off the beaten tourist path, which was amazing.  The picture above and immediately below are two different views of the interior of Grundtvig’s Church, which was absolutely stunning.  I REALLY struggled with wanting the image above to be in my five favorite images of 2024, because I just love it so much, however as always – something has to go!  In any case the church is just gorgeous.  Immediately below that is the interior of the Marble Church (also called Frederik’s Church), which I also found to be stunning.  The dome was really impressive, and I loved the blue tones in concert with the warm yellows from the candles at the altar. Beyond these are a collection of other sights around Copenhagen, some will be familiar, others perhaps not.
