Hey friends, welcome back!  If you’re here in East Tennessee or the surrounding areas, I hope you’ve been (safely) enjoying the snow!  We had 2 – 3 inches here at the house and Holly and I have been making the most of it.

In last week’s post, I mentioned that Holly and I both got sick on our trip to Europe – for me it was in Poland, and then again when we got home.  Our trip to Poland was mostly to see friends there, but we’d also planned a trip to Krakow, just to do some sightseeing.  Holly and I visited Krakow on our very first trip to Poland, and have wanted to return since then.  Unfortunately though, between a stint of bad weather and the worst of my sickness, I didn’t get a lot of time to explore.  We did, however, have a nice evening out and about.

Adding insult to injury, when we got to the main square of the old town, we were greeted by the beautiful Saint Mary’s Basilica (Polish: Kościół Mariacki) being partially covered in scaffolding! Ha!  You can’t win them all.  I spent the rest of my time looking for compositions that either minimized the view of the scaffolding, or just focused on other subjects altogether.  That’s life in Europe!
