Autumn is all about the trees – perhaps that’s obvious, but from a photography standpoint that is not always my focus. Trees play an important role, of course, but they’re not always the main subject, and rarely the only subject. Well this week I wanted to do something a little different, and have the focus be on the trees themselves, since they are what provide the brilliance to the scenes.
Another aspect of this week’s post that is a bit different are the locations where these images were taken. By now you’ve perhaps gotten used to seeing an image or two here and there from here at my house, of which there is one this week. Also though, this fall I took the opportunity to go meet up with some friends in Middle Tennessee at a State Park where I used to work when I was much younger: Savage Gulf State Park (though it wasn’t its own state park back then, but a part of South Cumberland State Park), and there are several images in here this week from that outing, including the picture above! Finally, the Smokies couldn’t be left out, so of course there are images in here from there too.
More next week!
