Happy December everyone!  Man it feels crazy to be saying that.  Mentally I feel like it should still be summer (of 2020 LOL), but here we are, the close of another year!  Also, I don’t know about you guys, but I think I’m still sorta full from all the food we ate on Thanksgiving!  🙂

Over the course of a year, I spend countless hours on the Foothills Parkway.  Since moving into our new hours, I can be at the first overlook in less than 10 minutes, which is just awesome.  I’ve commented on here a number of times how much I love that road. Well, by nature of spending so much time there, I end up with a lot of pictures from there, and inevitably some of those pictures end up here on this blog. Sooo, here’s my fall scene from the Foothills Parkway!  The leaves were just gorgeous up there this year (really everywhere!), and I had several good days of photographing there.  In the past when I’ve shot this road it has been from the other direction (there’s an easier spot to pull over heading that direction), but I happened to notice in my rearview mirror how nice it looked heading this direction, so I parked and took a walk.  As I messed with the scene, I had little bit of light came through the trees down the street, illuminating the red tree you can see above the road, which I thought added some depth and interest.  It was one of those moments where you catch yourself saying, “wow, look at that!”.

More next week!
