What a day this was!  Several weeks back, Holly and I decided to go for a short drive down to Benton to see Benton falls, and MAN was it foggy!  I hadn’t been in foggy conditions like that in some time – scary to drive in, but really neat to explore the falls.  Holly and I had the place to ourselves, which was a nice little surprise given how popular of a spot it is (it was admittedly raining just a bit, so I can’t blame the others for staying away).  These falls had been on my list for a while, and they did not disappoint.  Last summer I declared that Cul Car Mac falls were quite possibly the pretties falls in Tennessee, but I’ve seen so many now that would give it a run for it’s money that I think I’d shy away from making such a statement now (though those falls are absolutely gorgeous).  I think I highly recommend just seeing as many as you can!  🙂

For this shot, I put on my waders and got right up close and personal with the falls, hoping to convey the height of the falls, while also showing off the details of the cascades along the side of the falls.  The fog toward the top added some nice mood to the scene I thought.  This is definitely one of my favorites from the series!

More next week!
