This past visit to Singapore I got to go to a place I hadn’t seen before, and a place that I’m guessing the average tourist to Singapore misses: Pulau Ubin.  Pulau Ubin is a small island northeast of the main island of Singapore, and is mostly a nature park.  You can see monkeys there, which I’m always a fan of, as well as wild pigs (who knew?) and other animals.  Neat place.  To get there though, there is only one way – water taxi.

After returning from the island back to the main island, I noticed as the boat was pulling in that all the taxi boats were arranged in a line (I guess it was getting close to the end of the taxi runs).  Conveniently there was a little bridge that arched over the canal they were all assembling and so I had to go check it out.  I was initially hoping for a good sunset (it would have set right behind the boats), but that didn’t pan out, so I swapped lenses and started looking for just details.  The line of the boats is what I gravitated towards and I really ended up liking this shot.  Who needs dramatic sunset colors anyway! 🙂 In fact, who even needs color!?
