Shifting gears away from Asia and back to the good ‘ole United States, I wanted to share some images that I captured while out in California earlier this summer. This past time when I went to LA, I did something that I’ve never done before, I stayed downtown. Generally my meetings in LA are spread all over, so I’l stay in different parts of town that help me avoid some of the traffic that the city is known for. This go around, however, I managed to get all my downtown meetings scheduled across two consecutive days, so I booked a hotel a couple of blocks away, and walked to all my meetings! The nice thing about this (in addition to being convenient for my meetings of course) is that I got to go photograph downtown as well. Previously I felt like going downtown just to take pictures in the evenings would have been a headache, so this go around I was really excited for the chance.
As I was wandering around downtown, I stumbled upon a pedestrian bridge that went over South Flower Street, and the view down the street immediately grabbed my eye. I loved all the leading lines, all the cars and stop lights; really I liked everything about the scene! So, the above image is what I came away with.
More next week!
