Okay, back to the beach!!

A couple of weeks ago I shared a picture of a lighthouse on Hunting Island, which is right next door to Fripp Island where my family and I stayed earlier in the year. After grabbing that image I went for a walk up the beach, away from the lighthouse. The State Park has a nice section of groomed beach, but off the distance I could see what looked like a wild beach. What I mean by that is a beach that is just sort of in its natural state. Sure enough, the beach is totally as nature has left it.

Walking up the beach from there turns into a bit of an adventure, because you’re climbing over fallen trees. I had shoes on, so I was also trying to dodge waves at the same time. Pretty fun actually. I noticed later that there is actually a trail just inside the edge of the woods that makes all this a little easier going, but I was enjoying myself, so it worked out. I managed to get out to this section where I found the downed trees in an interesting grouping as the sky was still really warm with color while the sun rose. I have no idea what the story behind this area is, but it is SUPER cool. Or at least I thought so anyway!
