There are two things you should know about Reading Market. 1) It is totally a tourist trap and 2) you should definitely go there! This could just as easily be a restaurant review, because there are SO many amazing looking things to eat there, so go hungry!
So what is Reading Market? Well, it's an indoor market full of all sorts of vendor booths and mini shops. If you can think of it, you'll likely find it there. One of the places you HAVE to visit is Beiler's Donut shop. Depending on which door you enter through, you'll likely run right smack into the line for the place. It was wrapped around several isles inside when we showed up. It also runs out of donuts on a daily basis, so get in line as soon as you get there. Holly and I tried both the blueberry fritter and the traditional, and both were amazing, but if I ever go back, I'll be getting a dozen of the blueberry ones. Holy cow it was GOOD!
If you've got a hanker'n for any other sweet or tasty treat, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. We say lots of people walking around with ice cream, and there is more chocolate there than could ever possibly be eaten. It's an all out assault on your senses… and it's awesome!
