Charlie the Cat

After last week's Picture of the Week, which depicted our beloved cat Charlie in a less than happy state, I thought I'd share one more picture of him that shows him with a more typical look.  As a photographer who sometimes gets bored and just needs a subject, I find myself aiming the camera at the resident cat quite often.  That, and he can be just downright entertaining.  So yes… I have a lot of pictures of cats.

Now, I find this to be a very regal portrait of Charlie, but Holly, for some reason, thinks he looks evil.  I'll let you be the judge.

On another note, a friend of mine was messing around with a new app this week at the office that can collate data on individuals using their various social media profiles, and spit it all out on one screen.  Somewhat creepy, but interesting none the less (It's called Refresh if you're interested).  Anyway, one of the facts that he threw out about me from this app was that I have a video on YouTube with over 1,000 views.  Huh?  I of course immediately jumped on my YouTube channel and sure enough, I did… a video of none other than, Charlie.  Somehow I never posted this to our blog (though I did post it to Facebook).  Ah the internet… it loves cats.

Little bit of backstory.  We have, at times, had raccoons move in to the woods next door to our house.  These raccoons have also managed to find their way in our garage over the years to steal Charlie's cat food.  We can only imagine that Charlie has had a few run ins with those raccoons and thus maintains a level of respect for them.
