The V-3 Cannon near Międzyzdroje in Poland is one of those attractions that completely catches you off guard… or at least it did me. When you pull up to the front of the museum it honestly don’t look like much, however when you dig in, there is a ton of history here.

I had personally never heard of this weapon before, but evidently the V-3 Cannon was a massive weapon aimed straight at London that Hitler intended to use against them.  I was completely blown away (no pun intended) by the information here and you could tell the museum proprietor was very passion about its preservation.  The gun itself is no longer onsite, but you can get a good feel for the giant scale of the thing from the remnants left behind.  The museum is also full of weapons and gear left behind by the various armies (which you can touch… as evidenced by the picture above).  If you are at all interested in World War II history (or frankly even if you’re not), I’d highly recommend stopping here and checking it out.
