My family and I stayed in Sandestin (Miramar Beach) the first week in June, and while we thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the beaches at the resort were SUPER crowded. After putting up with it for two days we decided to do some exploring and found Grayton Beach State Park after driving down beautiful 30A. There looks to be maybe a tenth of a mile or maybe two tenths of a mile worth of beach that is solely the state park’s and when we arrived there was 7 other families there spread out from end to end… needless to say we had PLENTY of room to not feel crowded. It was well worth the $5 entry fee and I will be going there from now on instead of going to the hotel’s beach (oh, and the bathrooms are closer than the hotel’s as well!)
If you want an uncrowded beach… go here!
