If you saw last week’s Picture of the Week, you caught of glimpse of what life is like in the countryside of Nepal. This week’s picture is a look at life in the city of Kathmandu.
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again… Bob Seger was crazy! You don’t want to go to Kathmandu. LOL It was definitely an interesting place, but ‘culture shock’ doesn’t really describe the feeling you get when you get off the plane.

All the layering in the photograph gives it great depth. Photographs are a two-dimensional surface and it can be difficult to convey what our eyes sees to paper. This photograph does that extremely well. Although I may crop a little from the bottom to reduce the negative space and put the viewers focus more towards storefront at left and letting the eye wander deeper into the scene. Great shot Dan. I can tell that you see something here. It’s not just a tourist snap shot.
Hey thanks for your comments Saul, I really appreciate them!
Great capture – it really tells a story. KTM is definitely an interesting city!
