Don’t ask why, but for some reason a couple weeks ago I got a wild hair to find some cemeteries nearby and do some shooting. Maybe it was Halloween approaching… or who knows, but at any rate I’m on a bit of a kick right now. After prowling around and not finding what I was looking for, I made a comment on Twitter and a twiend of mine, Russ McBee, recommended heading over to Old Grey cemetery in Knoxville. A few others recommended it as well, so I told Holly I wanted to go… after she was done giving me funny looks, we made the trip. If you’re a history buff, this place is fascinating… if you’re a photographer, you’ll find plenty of gems as well. It of course didn’t hurt that the trees in the cemetery were absolutely stunning. I’m sure I’ll share more later… but this one is my favorite so far.

I grew up about 5 or so miles from Old Grey. Freaky stories from haloween nights there. Beauty by day, haunting by night!
I don’t think it’s weird at all: http://www.kirstenalana.com/archives/2961
And this is a really beautiful image. I love the way the fall color juxtaposes against the colorless statue.
