Okay, last picture of the Great Wall of China… for this year at least.  🙂  Last week I mentioned that its common for people to think that the Great Wall has a beginning and an end, when in fact, it has many beginnings and endings.  Last week’s Picture of the Week was an example of an end, as is this week’s.  This week’s, however, I thought was kind of unique because it is where the Wall actually runs into the Yellow Sea.  Behind where I was standing when I took this picture is a walled city, and for some reason, they chose to extend a piece of that wall out to the water.  It clearly doesn’t serve as much of an deterrent to invading armies, except maybe as a good vantage point to the beach.  In any case, I thought it was neat!

Next week, on to the cities!
